What we collect

• Email address — to sign you in, send your results and receipts.
• Documents you upload and the context you type (names, places) — only to produce your report.
• Purchase records — credits bought (payment details are handled by Stripe; we never see your card).
• Basic technical logs — IP address and request logs for security and abuse prevention.

How documents are processed

To read your page we send the image and your context notes to AI providers acting on our behalf (currently Anthropic) through their paid business APIs, whose terms do not allow them to use this data to train their models. Place names found in your document may be looked up in the public Wikidata database (only the name is sent). We never publish, sell or share your documents, and never use them to train AI or as marketing examples without your written permission.

Retention

Uploaded images and reports are deleted automatically 30 days after upload, or immediately when you click “Delete my files now”. We keep minimal account and purchase records (email, credit balance, order history) as long as your account exists or as required for tax and accounting.

Service providers

Render (hosting), Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments, merchant of record), Resend (email), Cloudflare/Porkbun (domain & email forwarding).

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can delete your files at any time, and ask us to delete your account and data by emailing hello@quillread.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under the GDPR or California law) to access, correct or delete your data — email us and we'll help.

Children

Quillread is not intended for children under 13.
